If you have any natural products I should try next, comment and let me know!
The reasons I chose these products:
Deep Conditioning Mix:
Eggs – contain lecithin and protein, which help strengthen and moisturize hair. Yolks also have a high sulfur content, which can help relieve dandruff symptoms. Eggs make your hair softer, silkier and more manageable, and the added strength from the protein prevents breakage. Your hair will also have more volume and will reflect light better, making it shinier (1)
Honey -is a humectant; it attracts and holds moisture. This makes it a good choice for damaged or dry hair. It also has antimicrobial properties that make it an effective cleanser (honey was shown to be effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria.) (2)
Olive Oil – is good for conditioning and dandruff control. It is made up of monounsaturated fatty acids with strong antioxidants, and vitamins A and E, which help moisturize and repair skin and hair. (2)
Baking soda — A baking soda hair wash cleans out excess product. It is also used for absorbing oils. (3)
Apple Cider Vinegar-Acids and enzymes in apple-cider vinegar are known to destroy bacteria called “bottle bacillus,” particularly known as a cause of scalp conditions including dandruff and itchiness. (4)
Coconut Oil- Coconut oil has lauric acid, a fatty acid that makes it easy to penetrate hair and moisturize it (5)
The Shampoo and Conditioner will be a staple for me but I will be changing natural moisturizers and deep conditioners (because there are so many natural things to try!).
****Please note that I do not really focus on hard measurements because everyone’s hair is different and may need more or less than what I use. ****
